Taylor Made was formed by Mick Taylor. The band plays Hot new country, cool classic rock, and songs from Mick's solo albums. Mick Taylor-Guitar,Keys &Vocals. Rob Canary-Drums Billy Nichols-Bass,Keys,Vocals Mick has spent many years on the road and in the studio in such bands as - Slammer, Looker, Freefall, Airplay ,TNT & Driver and also worked as a Detroit based studio musician doing commercial's and sound tracks for Ford Motor Co., Coke, Tuffy Muffler etc. In Slammer he released 2 albums , 2 singles and a music video. Driver released there CD "Redline" in 2008. Mick exclusively uses ROLAND VG-88 and GR-33 synth V-Guitar system along with ROLAND GK modified Ibanez and Teddy Zane guitars. Rob is one of the best drummers in Northern MI. and has spent his music career in past great Michigan bands as Free Flite, Lookin' Back, Northern Storm, T-N-T ,HARD DRIVE and Driver. He won the Northern MI "Battle Of The Bands" with Lookin' Back in 1989 and shared the stage with Blackfoot, REM and Brownsville Station. Rob exclusively uses the ROLAND TD8 V-drum system along with custom ROLAND modified PEARL drums and ROLAND V-cymbals. Billie Nichols started out in the 70's playing in bands with Mick Taylor. He later went to Michigan State for music. In the 80's he played in a very well known Lansing based band called Chariot. After that he toured with some big name country acts. Billy released a sucsessful country album of his own in 2006. Billie is top notch Bassist, Keyboardist and vocalist. Billie uses Peavey 5 string and schecter bass's. Yamaha Motif and Hammond keyboards and Leslie's. |
